At SlammedServers, our platform supports game servers played on by players around the world. We provide the infrastructure; you shape the experience. When we say "platform," we mean all the services we provide including game server hosting, dedicated servers, and any additional services we may provide now or in the future. This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines how our platform should be used and what we don't allow. As the account holder, you're expected to take reasonable steps to ensure your server isn't used for abusive, illegal, or harmful purposes. That includes your own actions and, when possible, the environment you create for your players. Abuse, whether between users, across communities, or directed at SlammedServers is something we take seriously. By using our services, you agree to this policy, our Terms of Service, and Privacy Policy.
Our services are built to support all kinds of game communities, from private friend groups to massive public servers. This policy outlines the kind of activity we allow, and what crosses the line. If you're hosting with SlammedServers, it's your responsibility to ensure your use of the platform aligns with these rules.
We monitor server performance and resource usage to keep everything running smoothly, but we don't actively review what happens inside the services you run. That said, if we learn that our platform is being used in a way that causes harm, breaks the law, or puts others at risk, we will take action. You may not use our platform to engage in the following activities. This list is not exhaustive. If you are unsure whether something is permitted, please contact us before proceeding.
We take violations of this policy seriously. Depending on the nature and severity of the issue, we may take one or more of the following actions:
This is not a complete list. We may take any other actions we reasonably believe are necessary to protect our platform, customers, or infrastructure.
In cases involving illegal activity or threats to others, we may also report the incident to law enforcement or other relevant authorities.
While this policy applies to all services, some service types have common patterns of misuse. Here are a few additional notes:
You may not:
You are responsible for ensuring your server's compliance with any relevant third-party terms.
You are fully responsible for the content and behavior of your hosted services. You may not use these servers to:
You must maintain basic security hygiene, including updated software, non-default passwords, and firewall protections.
We provide hosting for a wide range of game titles, each with its own license terms, modding rules, and monetization policies. As the account holder, you're responsible for making sure your server complies with those requirements, including, but not limited to, restrictions on pay-to-win features, unauthorized monetization, and the use of disallowed mods or plugins. If you're using SlammedServers for anything other than game hosting, you must also comply with any license agreements or usage terms related to those services.
If you see our services being used for something abusive, illegal, or harmful, please report it to abuse@slammedservers.com. Include as much context as you can, such as IP addresses, logs, timestamps, or screenshots to help us investigate. We take every report seriously and act promptly when something violates this policy.
We offer flexible resource usage on many of our services, including unmetered storage. These benefits are designed to support a wide range of use cases and work best when everyone uses them fairly. Services must be used for their intended purpose; for example, storing unrelated or personal files on a game server is prohibited.
If your usage goes significantly beyond normal consumption and/or impacts performance for other customers, we may throttle, migrate, or suspend your service. This includes things like plugins with memory leaks, runaway scripts, or resource usage that consistently causes instability. Occasional CPU-heavy activity is expected, but persistent overuse may lead to throttling or suspension.
See "Enforcement and Consequences" under Section 2 for more on how we handle violations.
We're here to support the communities you build, whatever shape they take. Creating something great starts with treating others fairly and using our services responsibly. When you do that, you help make the gaming world better for everyone.
We may revise this Acceptable Use Policy as our services evolve. We'll post any changes on this page, and for significant updates, we may notify you by email as required by law.
